Draw a perfect half circle using the Pen tool.
Apply 3D Revolve to it with the default settings.
Duplicate the oval shape. Change its stroke colour and resize it without rotating. Make an oval in black and white and then duplicate them and set it in place.
Using the Pen tool make a mouth with the Pen tool and apply a border of Multilines 1.7.
To make the wing, use the Elliptical tool and create an oval in white. Then lighten its Transparency. Apply the Multiline 1.5 border to it and use Arc under Warp Options to reshape it.
Use the Pen tool and make two eyebrows. Apply Artistic stroke to them.
Draw the antennae and apply a rough brush stroke to them. Then use Zig Zag to modify their shape.
To make the legs, use the Pen tool and apply Charcoal Soft brush to them in black.
This is how the bug will look.
